Artificial Intelligence in Medicine Scholars (AIMS)
Mission
Artificial Intelligence in Medicine Scholars (AIMS) is a pre-health research program committed to exploring the use of AI in clinical settings. We foster innovation, data skills, and critical thinking through collaborative research.
Current Investigation
DAX Copilot
AIMS is currently evaluating the utility of DAX Copilot at Waco Family Medicine from multiple perspectives, including physician experiences, accuracy and hallucination rates, economic impact, and its effectiveness in serving Spanish-speaking patient populations.
Lab Structure
AIMS consists of teams of multiple students each working on investigating a different research question related to AI in Medicine. Each team of students works with a Team Leader to develop a research proposal and seek IRB approval to conduct their study.
Application Information
Applications for the 2025 cycle have closed. Check back in the Spring Semester for information regarding joining our research team.
